The begining, why me???

To start off, some may know me as dero or Denis, I'm a 47 year old male, in pretty good physical shape and yes, this past july (2007) for no apparent reasons I have develloped a blood clot in my right leg. Two weeks prior to this, I suffered a gastrocnemius strain (diagnosed at a sport clinic) due to a hyperextension of my right calf and other muscles( my Dr. at the TAT unit ASSURED ...

So it's been 8 1/2 month since being diagnosed with DVT and on Warfarin. But I have a little good news, I am coming off it starting tomorrow. What am I feeling? ~ Well a little nervious that it may come back. But I am also excited because I can go get massage therapy, Chiro or physio to help my leg pain (I think it's post, but maybe also a pinched nerve)who knows. Also exercising won't be too scary because if I trip and fall, I don't have to worry about internal bleeding. I'm also going to be ...

My name is Jesse, I'm a 32 year old male, and I had a DVT with pulmonary embullisms last December. I'm really, really happy that this site is available for survivors. I've been getting a lot of useful information here. I had a clot that ran the whole of my right leg, but thankfully, most of it was "eaten" by my enzymes after about 6 months. I have finally got my coumadin levels steady (after a bleeding kidney back in April...they are still unsure why I started ...

I'm a early 40's, healthy, active male in my first week of a calf and mid-thigh DVT. The pain is only in the calf, very little swelling, but painful enough that I hobble when I walk. When I'm off my feet, the pain largely subsides. The doc said he expects that from what he can see so far, he expects I'll recover from this without any significant ...

I am sad to be here, yet happy to find you!

Newly diagnosed, my story/diary (from Fri. to now) is this:

I'm 41, looking and feeling healthy and vibrant. I woke up one day to pain in the back of my lower right leg. It felt like pain throughout my leg, and at the time I couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from. But I wrote it off to having slept on it wrong, or perhaps bizarrely pulling a muscle in my sleep. I carried on with life, although I babied my leg ...

There are other important milestones during this timeline, but I wanted to point out the most significant ones:
