Does anyone else experience small red/purple pinhead size spots? I believe it's called Petechiae, and think it's caused by Warfarin. I started getting a few about a month ago (3+ months post-DVT), and they left in about 4 days or so. Now I have a cluster again this time near a bruise which makes sense. Read some info online that it's important to get it checked though.

Just curious if you have this too...

The contributing factors included a leg injury 3 years previous (knee was crushed by a golf cart and leg was chronically swollen), started birth control to delay period while on vacation, and plane travel from Toronto to Vancouver (and luckily) back. Doctors suggested I would need blood thinners for 6-9 months and then due to seriousness of the bilateral multiple blood clots to the lungs changed duration to 1 year. I am now at 14 months and wonder (and worry) ... Life after DVT... Thank God it was negative. Pain is still there and don't know why. Have woken up my husband for last 2 nights coughing (w/ no cold or flu) and had an entire day of heart palpatations on Sunday, so got it checked out. Once there has been a hypercoaguable state where nothing stopped the clotting, it is hard not to think every burning pain isn't another DVT. Life after DVT...
