| Hello , My name is Joe... Ive been sober for 2461 days.....
Everyone - Hello Joe!
Oh is this the AA forum ... sorry ...
Hello, My name is Joe.. I had my second DVT this past May... So I am a full member, on coumadin. I know I am a lite weight compared to the more experienced people like Sharon (nice Gal) ... and others that have had massive DVTs... but hey... Im fifty and I have some time .... I'll be there soon... (NOT)
Im currently on 4mg of warfarin per day and trying to level off my INR... I am taking supplements ( Natto, ginger, ginko, COD live oil ) and things seem to be working out as my leg feels much better... No spikes in INR...
I have to say , thank you to AL Gore... for inventing the internet.... gees, we have people from ALL OVER THE WORLD here and its like they are ALL in my house.... Welcome and stop by for dinner if you get to Philadelphia... My treat!
Cheers! | |

| Hi Joe! Nice to meet you! I am a light weight too and a new kid on the block... calf DVT. How did you get yours? Mine was being 40+ and on "the pill". Had no idea what DVT was... woke up with leg pain and assumed it was a pulled/strained muscle, so I left it for two weeks. Whoops! Thank goodness I decided to get it checked out before I hopped on a plane across Canada! Funny thing... I mentioned to my Dr. that so many people I've talked to with DVT have gotten it again, and he poo-pooed that, saying it's extremely rare. Yet here you are.... yet ANOTHER one!! (No Factor V or anything?) I think I better have him start to visit the forums!! Have a super day over there in Philly and look forward to chatting! Brenda | |

| Welcome Joe!
It good to have a Road cyclist added to the forum to join us MTB'ers. Much like Dero, I also visit the RobPrince website (Tom in Connecticut). | |

| Hi Joe!!! Yes, welcome to "Life After DVT" yes a roady is a great addition to our group ... If you want,we can continue the search for what should a person on anticoags have in there bags when doing dangerous activities(to us). When a century sounds dangerous you have to think... Talk to you soon... dero Kytostat... http://www.kytostat.com/ and WoundStat...http://www.traumacure.com/index.html I'm still waiting for an e-mail from WounStat since nowhere on their site do they mention anything about how their product will affect anticoagulants. Compare to Kytostat states on their site that their product is good for anticoagulant. | |
