My name is Bre, and I am only 15. I had a DVT about a month a and a half ago. The DVt was cause by May-Thurners syndrom also know as Iliac compression. I had a stent put in and I am on the anti-couaglint Coumadin; not to mention the compression stocking thats thigh high.
Two weeks after the stent was put in I had reacurring symptoms of pain and the feeling of when i first had a clot, stiff ness in the inner thigh and limited movement. We rushed back to the hospital and haved an ultra sound dont, the results presented that the stent that was put in had collapsed. After a second stent was put in I havent experienced any of those sypmtoms unless of course I sit for to long.
If you have had any reacurring issues talk to your cardio-vascular surgeon and get that problem fixed before more damage is done. I have a final surgery to hopefully pull out my Guntzer filter and 4 months of coumadin left. I couldnt be happier. Smile
The worst part of my DVT and May-Thurners is just the Coumadin. Sad I have had to be extra careful with my activities and has kept me from playing other games with my friends. The lovaknox shots aren't to appealing either. But I should consider myself lucky that I only have to take it for 6 months.

Hi Bre,
Thank YOU very much for the heads up and I'm glad you were able to catch this at an early stage, many people do not think of going back to the hospital, many tell themselves, "my INR is therapeutic, I'm out of the danger zone.
Since my diagnose, I have been a firm believer of "when in doubt, have it checked out, I rather lose some time at the hospital and KNOW I'm OK as oppose to wonder what is wrong and wait until it's TOO LATE.

cheers Yay Bre!!! cheers

and BTW, WELCOME to LADVT. (Life After DVT)
