I think we all understand what you mean by "I survived to write this post
" been there, done that. Ergo, I'm verry happy to see that you made it to "Life After DVT".
It still amazes me the ammount of people that get told that they have DVT and that the doctors don't know WHY. Are'nt we special?
Yes I'm being sarcastic (sorry).
Coumadin and warfarin are the same, but soon to be replace( I hope) by kinder, softer drugs for us long term users or liffers. I hope for you, that you can do your six months (anticoagulants) and be done with it.
Out of curiosity, what kind of work do you do?
I, also am very new to all of this (was diagnosed with idiopathic DVT in July 2007) but since I could not sit around and be ignorant about something that could had kill me, all my findings are here for newly diagnosed patients like you to benefit from. We are slowly starting to gather some specialist from various aspect of thrombophilia that we can all benefit from their experiences. If you have any links to sites or forums that think would help others, don't be shy, send them to me or admin (via PM) so that we can post them in the link forum.
I will check what I have as links to compression socks in the UK...
Talk to you soon, I hope.
