Well my saga continues. I was due to get off warfarin the end of this month. Went for a doppler mainly because I wanted one and partly because I still had a bit of pain. The results came back and there are 2 more small clots. I don't know how new they are. The ultrasound didn't really say. Can they tell from an ultrasound how old the clots are?
So now I am off Warfarin and on injections for at least three months every day. Not sure what the plan is after that. I have being referred to a Hemotologist next month. In the meantime I am getting a bunch of scans and ultrasounds of my body. I am pretty sure they are ruling out any malignancies since cancer ofter causes clots. She didn't say that but I research it and one of the reqs daid "rule out malignancy" . I read that often clots and cancer are connected - especially if there is no reason for them. Praying that that isn't the case.
Anyone else on daily shots? How long can you stay on them and what are other options?
