Clot cleared but still hurts

I was diagnosed with a partial clot in my thigh near my knee three weeks ago at the ER. They put me on Zarelto. After seeing the PA at my Dr. office twice with poor information I consulted a Vascular Specialist. He did a Doppler Ultrasound this week and said the clot is gone. He almost was in disbelief that if ever existed. I still have pain if I am very active and walk a lot. Does this seem normal to still hurt after it clears?
