Xarelto (rivaroxaban) vs Pradaxa (dabigatran)

I seen a couple of posts about people trying Pradaxa, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried Xarelto? It was recently FDA approved (this past month - July,2011) for DVT & PE. I would post a couple of articles and information, but seems that I need to wait about a week to start posting links (sry)...

I think it will take at least 6 months before you start hearing people talking about it, it's still brand new.
It was the same with Pradax/Pradaxa.

Seems this post a little old.... and would like to follow up on SDR's question.

I've been prescribed Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) as long term preventive anticoagulant therapy. I am curious if anyone as taken it for longer periods of time? Any comments? Any side effects other than the usual bleeding/bruising? Do you find it better then Wafarin/Coumadin?

This is not my experience, you know i'm on Pradax... But this info from other people on other sites...
The MAJOR difference is that you have no dietary restrictions, you can eat ANYTHING you want, no more INR tests so you take your pill and THAT'S IT.
As to any side effects, that is between you and the drug, everybody reacts their own ways...
But, the nice thing, there are other alternatives now, it's not like it was a few years back where Warfarin was it...

Just so we have somebody talking about their experience with Xarelto, please keep us informed as how it goes for you...
